Disclaimer

**Taksu Soul Retreats presents Balinese ceremonies — melukat water purification, priest blessings, sound healing, and breathwork — as cultural and spiritual experiences, not as medical, psychological, or mental-health treatment. We make no cure or guaranteed-healing claims. If you live with clinical grief, trauma, or a diagnosed health condition, please keep working with a qualified professional alongside anything you do with us.**

This page sets out the terms under which balisoulfullretreat.com publishes information and arranges retreat experiences. It is written plainly on purpose. Read it before you book. By using this website or booking through our concierge, you accept what follows.

Are these ceremonies a form of treatment?

No. Melukat is a living Balinese Hindu purification ritual used to cleanse negative energy and restore spiritual balance. It is performed at sacred water-temple sites such as Tirta Empul in Tampaksiring (Gianyar Regency) and Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu. We describe it as what it genuinely is: a religious and cultural practice with deep meaning for the Balinese people.

We do not describe it as therapy. Sound healing, breathwork, priest blessings, and the grief- and life-transition-focused programs we help arrange are experiential and reflective in nature. They are not a substitute for medical care, psychiatric care, counselling, psychotherapy, or any licensed clinical service.

Please read these points carefully:

  • Nothing on this site diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any illness, disorder, or condition.
  • No outcome is promised. Emotional and spiritual responses to ceremony are personal and vary widely from guest to guest.
  • If you are experiencing acute distress, suicidal thoughts, active trauma symptoms, or an urgent medical or psychiatric issue, contact a qualified professional or local emergency services first. A retreat is not a crisis service.
  • If you are pregnant, have a heart condition, respiratory issues, a psychiatric diagnosis, or take medication that could be affected by intensive breathwork, cold water, heat, fasting, or long ceremony days, get clearance from your own doctor before you travel.

You take part in every ceremony and activity of your own free will and at your own risk. You remain responsible for your own health decisions before, during, and after your stay.

Who operates the bookings, and who are we not?

Retreat experiences promoted here are arranged and operated by Bali Premium Trip, our independent concierge and booking partner, working with vetted licensed local providers — temples, priests (pemangku), healers, villas, drivers, and practitioners.

Here is what that means for your expectations:

We are We are not
An independent concierge and travel-experience arranger The owner of the temples, villas, or vehicles used
A curator working with vetted licensed partners A licensed medical, psychological, or mental-health provider
A publisher of general planning information A licensed financial, legal, tax, or immigration adviser
Responsible for arranging what we confirm in writing The insurer of your trip, health, or belongings

Where we do not own or directly control an asset or service, it is arranged via vetted licensed partners, and the partner’s own terms, standards, and liability apply. We select partners in good faith but cannot guarantee the acts, omissions, or quality of any independent third party.

How accurate is the information on this website?

We aim for honesty over hype. Even so, treat everything here as general information, current as of 2026 and subject to change.

Any prices, durations, inclusions, and figures we quote — our own or, for market context, those attributed to other operators — are indicative only and can change without notice. For example, third-party market references we cite, such as The Meru Sanur’s 60-minute Lukat Toya ritual at IDR 800,000++ per person or its three-day retreat at IDR 19,000,000++ for two, and Tripadvisor listings for a Tirta Empul melukat tour from around US$33.00 per adult, are other companies’ published rates as of 2026, shared for context only. They are not Taksu Soul Retreats’ rates and are not offers by us. The “++” means government tax and service charge are added on top.

Your confirmed price is only the figure stated on the written quotation or invoice issued to you by our concierge at the time of booking.

What are the booking and liability terms?

When you enquire or book through us, these terms apply:

  • Bookings are confirmed only in writing by our concierge team via WhatsApp or email. A conversation, quote, or availability check is not a confirmed booking until you receive written confirmation and any required deposit is settled.
  • Prices and availability are subject to change until confirmed. Temple access, ceremony timing, and priest availability can shift for religious reasons beyond anyone’s control.
  • Balinese holy days such as Galungan and Kuningan, and the island-wide silence of Nyepi, can close services entirely. We will flag these where we can, but the Balinese religious calendar takes precedence over any itinerary.
  • Cancellations, changes, and refunds follow the specific terms shown on your quotation or invoice, plus the individual policies of the temples, villas, and partners involved.
  • Etiquette and access matter. Sacred sites require a sarong and sash, offerings handled with the right hand, keeping your head lower than the presiding priest, and respecting the Cuntaka taboo that traditionally restricts menstruating women from certain temple rituals. Photography during rituals is only with permission. Guests who cannot or will not observe these practices may be respectfully declined access by the temple or priest, and we cannot refund experiences missed on that basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Taksu Soul Retreats, its publisher Juara Holding Group, and Bali Premium Trip are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, injury, illness, emotional response, or damage arising from participation in ceremonies or activities, or from reliance on general information published here. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel and medical insurance for every guest.

Travel, visas, and planning

Visa rules change. Indonesia’s visa-on-arrival and evolving long-stay and nomad-visa options may matter for multi-week programs, but immigration policy shifts and we are not immigration advisers. Verify current requirements with official Indonesian government sources or a licensed agent before you travel. Bali’s practical seasons — the drier months roughly April to October and the wetter months roughly November to March — affect outdoor ceremony, but weather cannot be guaranteed. None of this is legal, medical, financial, or tax advice.
